Glossary – Key terms from franchise management and quality assurance

Key Performance Indicator – a metric for measuring the success or performance of activities. In franchise, KPIs are used to compare and optimise branch performance.

KPIs make performance comparable and manageable. Typical examples are revenue per area, audit results, employee satisfaction or mystery shopping scores. In franchise systems, dashboards and benchmarking help identify best practices and address weaknesses.
